On Monday the kids had a snow day. While waiting for it to stop snowing so we could shovel we had to come up with something to do. The kids wanted to make their own monsters. They drew a picture of their monster. They helped me recreate the monster, but bigger onto tissue paper. They picked out fleece from our stash and I sewed up their monsters! Here are some pics of Hudson stuffing his and Audrey helping him. We had a good time doing it except for Marshall. He had enough of playing by himself. He wanted me to pick him up...hence the "put down the stupid camera and pick me up" face.
We went over to my good friend Joni's house to play for a few hours. Her daughter, Katie, is a week younger than Marshall. She has been mobile for MONTHS!! She is adorable and very leery of my camera...and me. Mikey is turning 3 this weekend, he is so fun.
Audrey had dance class this week. She likes it. Their recital is in May so that should be very fun.

Weekend
This past weekend my Dad and Stepmom came for a visit. We had a great time and I made some homemade bread for dinner. It turned out better than I expected. The Grandparents were entertained by the kids playing Guitar Hero!
Grandma got Audrey this cool pair of sunglasses and new pjs for the kids. She still wears the glasses everywhere.
My serious rockers. Audrey likes to help Hudson along by clapping and singing while he plays.
Marshall and all of his cuteness with his Grandparents. He wasn't really impressed with the concert.

Audrey's Obsession
So, Audrey has an obsession that I thought I'd share with everyone. She loves, loves, loves stuffed animals. She calls them her "stuffties". She sleeps with at least 40 of them. I thought it would be fun to make her lower bunk into a more secluded spot that she could use pockets to hold her stuffties. All the material was in my stash in the basement.
Here are a few pictures of the before & after:

Things I learned:
- You need to sew a LOT of pockets to hold 40+ stuffed animals.
- Audrey doesn't like the dark so we had to fold her "wall" back so the night light could shine on her face when she slept.

Pictures Galore
So, Marshall has a double ear infection and is in his first course of antibiotics. He is miserable, especially at night. He sounds like he coughs up a lung. Very sad. Here are some pics that I've taken recently and hope you enjoy.
This is when Marshall was just starting to get sick. He has a fondness for the curtains in our living room. He loves to hide behind them. I'm afraid he's going to pull them down or get them wrapped around him. I tell him no...so the second picture is of him seeing the curtains and looking at me with the devil grin he has! So instead of being a consistent Mom I just took pictures of the event then pulled him out of the curtains.

We had a snow day on Wednesday. Hudson was so excited! Here they are playing in our backyard before the wind picked up! Marshall was banned to the house and pressed up against the glass while I stood on the deck to take pictures.
Out a quarter machine came the best toy ever! It is the Tom Selleck mustache in light brown! Hudson loves it and I'll be searching for spirit gum to put on the back of it when the sticky tape wears out.

Favorites from TV!
Marshall has been sick so I don't have anything fun to post except for these two You Tube videos. Audrey and I saw the Sesame Street episode with Rick Gervais this morning and immediately sent it to Josh to watch. The eTrade commercial I saw tonight and I laughed pretty hard.
Enjoy and next time I promise to post pics of my family.

Marshall's 1st Birthday
Marshall had his first birthday this past Friday. Hudson didn't have school so all the kids and I were able to hang out and make a cake. I let Audrey and Hudson blow out Marshall's candle because I'm sure he would be the kind of kid to grab the flame. This was his first taste of chocolate let alone frosting and cake. He LOVED it and got really upset when the piece was gone. So I gave him another piece...it was his birthday! He didn't throw up or gag at all. He just sucked down the cake and picked up all the little crumbs from his tray!
Marshall got many very nice gifts. The kids were so excited to have Marshall open their gifts to him. Josh took them shopping last week and they wrapped their own presents. They did a great job at picking the gifts and wrapping them. They loved "helping" him open his gifts.
Here are some pictures from our exciting night.
